An uncharacteristic summer storm created huge waves at Grandes Rocques on Guernsey’s west coast. Uniform grey cloud-cover broke just in time for sunset, which briefly bathed this dramatic scene in warm evening sunlight. Shortly after, and somewhat expectedly, a giant wave crashed over the rocks to my left, completely soaking both me and my camera, which needed a careful washdown after. I get wet so you don’t have to!
