Description
Liberation day on 9th May hosts Guernsey’s largest firework display, viewed here from the Mignot Plateau, looking east over the harbour of St Peter Port. On this date, Guernsey celebrates the liberation from occupying German forces during World War II by staging a carnival on the town sea front, culminating in a magnificent evening firework display over Castle Cornet.
